About Mike

Mike Evans is the Founder and Director of Wholeness Ministries located in Bakersfield , California . Mike is a graduate of Golden Gate University and earned his Masters Degree in Christian Education and was ordained in 1982. Mike was an associate pastor from 1976 to 1994 at Bakersfield Christian Life Center . In 1989 Mike founded Wholeness Ministries, a ministry whose purpose is to train and equip believers to minister to those in need of physical, spiritual or emotional healing. Mike has shown numerous ministries and churches how to establish in-house prayer team ministries. Mike and his team have taught and ministered healing in Northern Ireland , England , Canada , Puerto Rico , Hungary , India and extensively throughout the United States .

Mike, along with a team, has written and published “Learning To Do What Jesus Did”, a practical, hands-on training manual demonstrating how to pray for physical, emotional and spiritual healing. This book has been used easily across denominational and cultural lines.

Mike's latest book, “Why Not Waste Time With God”, stems from his own search to stop running and connect back with God. Our world, our work environment, our church environment, and we ourselves dictate that we must be productive. We are taught to shake-off anything that takes our time and threatens our productivity. Unfortunately we soon feel overworked, over-stressed, over-tired, under-energized, overwhelmed and under-appreciated.
