While new birth through faith in Christ Jesus is the instantaneous work of a moment, achieving wholeness is truly the labor of a lifetime. The deep healing of our brokenness, whether it be physical, emotional, or spiritual, is often something we are incapable of accomplishing on our own. It goes against the grain of our cultural training towards independance; we assume that the prayers we lift to God on our own behalf ought to be enough. But we have prayed, and breakthrough has not come. What are we to make of it?
We need the body of Christ to rise up and fulfill its role - to be corporately those things that none us can achieve on our own. We need not only our own prayers, but the prayers of the saints. We need more than just our own wisdom: we need the counsel of the Wise. We need to be touched in the place of our pain by loving, compassionate hearts and to have our wounds treated and dressed by healing hands. In plain words: we need help, and we need each other.
Although this life-on-life healing touch is the sort of ministry you will always experience at any of our events, there is often a need for longer experiences of prayer and counsel than are possible at a large retreat, conference, or healing service. For that reason Wholeness Ministries is also available for private appointments and longer sessions of intensive prayer, either at our main facility in Bakersfield, California, or wherever the need may arise.
