Mike is the Founder and Director of Wholeness Ministries located in Bakersfield, California . Before that he was an associate pastor from 1976 to 1994 at Bakersfield Christian Life Center. In 1989 Mike founded Wholeness Ministries, a ministry whose purpose is to train and equip believers to minister to those in need of physical, spiritual and emotional healing. Mike has shown numerous ministries and churches how to establish in-house prayer team ministries. Mike and his team have taught and ministered healing in England, Ireland, India, Hungary, Kuwait, Qatar, Canada, Puerto Rico, and extensively throughout the United States .

Mike is also the author of two books: Learning to Do What Jesus Did, which has been used by churches worldwide as a textbook for training prayer teams, and Why Not Waste Time with God?, a book that explores our deep need to build an intimate relationship with our Creator in the same way we would build any other relationship - through spending quality time together.

Mike, his wife Jane and their three children all live in California. Mike loves photography, travel to places he has not been before, and good food. He especially enjoys outings to the beach or sitting by his special spot at the Kern River in Bakersfield, CA.

In an age where "Healing Ministry" is in danger of being marginalized, Mike Evans’ passion is to bring healing prayer back into the mainstream of the Christian life. His easy going demeanor, his approachability - and most of all his willingness to admit a lot about healing remains a huge mystery helps Mike reach the skeptics, doubters, and disillusioned who often fear the power and unpredictability of the supernatural side of the Christian faith. Mike continues to be used by the Lord in miraculous ways to be the conduit of His healing power to countless numbers.
