Preposterous !

Dear Friends,

This reality is almost beyond our grasp.  Numerous times as I've been praying for people I've said, "You don't have to do anything for God to love you, He loves you simply because ;you are His.  He can't love you anymore or any less than He currently loves you.  You are His beloved." I cannot count the number of times they look at me as if I've lost my mind.  As if that is impossible.  Some are stunned; some disbelieving unable to even hope that it is possible.

As we grow into adults many of us are taught that our value is based on what we know, whom we know, what we have, or what we do.  We learn quickly that is just the way it is.  That's what Satan would like us to believe because he knows that if we get a hold of the truth that we don't earn God's love and that when we begin to think and act like God's beloved, we have the potential to become a significant threat to him and his kingdom.  When we truly understand who we are, we begin to grasp the power and authority that is available to us as co-heirs with Jesus Christ and we start to use it to bring freedom and healing to those around us.  What could be more threatening to our enemy?  Why do you think he works so hard to keep us thinking we have to work for God's approval?

GET THIS!  You are His Beloved-allow yourself to be loved!  Rid yourself of this preposterous thinking that your value and significance are based on anything other than God's irrational, unreasonable, passionate love for you.

MY TRAVELS - October was a whirlwind month for me.  It started off with a trip to The Falls Church, Falls Church, VA, and ended with an unplanned healing conference outside Asheville, N.C.  The Falls Church is an Anglican congregation of significant size, just outside of Washington, D.C. To give you a bit of background, it was formed in 1732 and George Washington was one of the founding members.  How's that for some history!

They have a sizeable prayer team and asked me to conduct some training along with a healing service with ministry specifically to their prayer teams.  David Anderson and I shared the teaching and ministry with our training focused on the practical application of what we were teaching.  During our time there we saw numerous physical healings and have since heard reports of people going back to their doctors to be checked out only to discover that the condition they were dealing with was no longer a problem. We heard one report that there was a lady receiving chemotherapy for six cancerous tumors in her chest and a large inoperable one on her aorta. When she went in for a PET scan the results showed no sign of any cancer anywhere!  Another report concerned a young couple who have been trying for over two years to have a child.  They just received a report that she is now pregnant!

We left Falls Church and headed for Jacksonville, FL. where I taught at the Level 4 School of Healing Prayer for Christian Healing Ministries.  My teaching emphasis was on Discernment, Authority and practical application.  It was great fun to watch people as they followed the instructions I gave on how to hear specific words from God.  When we broke them down into small groups of three and waited for the Lord to speak to them, many of them were surprised at the specific words he gave to them individually about someone in their group.  It is such an encouraging faith builder when people realize what they are hearing is directly from God.  The school ended on Friday and I headed home early Saturday.

I was resting Monday when I received a call from Fr. Nigel Mumford, whom many of you know, asking if I could fill in for him at a conference in North Carolina as he was very sick.  Fortunately I had the time open so on Thursday I took a flight out to Asheville, N.C. to teach and minister to a group at the Lake Logan Retreat Center.  These teaching sessions revolved around Inner Vows, Curses & Soul Ties and using our Authority out in the market place.  During the course of our time together a large number of people were freed up from these bondages and left the conference having experienced significant healing in their lives.

This Tuesday, October 27th I head for Baltimore, MD. Keep me in your prayers as I travel and also my wife Jane and family while I’m away.

Thank you for your prayers and support of this work.  What a joy and a privilege it is to be able to work at something I thoroughly enjoy.  It is something that brings the reality of God's Kingdom into people's lives today.  What could be better than that!

Let’s Do It Now!  As I settled into my seat on the airplane for my ride home the flight attendant started her announcements and said that if she seemed a bit touchy it was because she had an impacted tooth and her jaw was swollen and she was in a lot of pain.  After we reached altitude she started down the aisle handing out drinks and snacks. After she asked me what I wanted to drink I said, “If you will let me pray for you I believe Jesus can heal that tooth.” She said, “Okay,” and leaned down so I could lay my hand on her jaw. I prayed a short prayer and she said that the pain was decreasing. She continued down the aisle serving the other customers and when she came back she said the pain was almost completely gone.  After we arrived at our destination, I was exiting the plane and she was standing at the door with a big smile on her face and said, “The swelling has gone down significantly and the pain is gone.”

We had several healing services there and watched as God did some amazing things – five deaf ears were opened, numerous joint and muscle healings, a man who had been in a terrible car accident and couldn’t walk without a cane dropped it and started walking across the room.  We also witnessed many inner healings as people were freed from years of blame, regret, sadness and unforgiveness.

New Life Center, Bakersfield, CA. I was at a Wednesday service and a lady walked up to me and said, “I just have to share this with you. Two months ago during the service you gave a word that someone there has been suffering from migraine headaches for a long time and that God was going to heal them tonight.  I have been suffering from migraines since I was eleven.  I am now fifty-four.  I have not had a migraine headache since that prayer two months ago!” Did you get that? This lady has had migraines for thirty-six years and now she has none! How great is that!

School of Prayer in Spanish - On the last night of our school a young man who was obviously in great pain came up for prayer. He said that a piece of granite had fallen on him two years prior and that now the doctors wanted to do an operation on his spine because the pain was so bad.  A group of us gathered around him and after we prayed the second time he was bending over, moving around, even jumping up and down, incredulous that the pain was gone. As he stood with tears streaming down his cheeks, I was again reminded that our God wants us healed and what an incredible privilege and responsibility we have to go and do what Jesus did.
