Inspired by William Wallace's example, warrior-poets charge the fields of Bannockburn to win freedom for Scotland. Maximus battles his way back to Rome in order to defeat the tyrant who sits on the throne that rules the civilized world, even though it will cost him his life to do so. Sam and Frodo suffer trials beyond our wildest dreams on a desperate quest to destroy the Ring of Power that threatens to enslave all of Middle-Earth. Bruce Wayne forfeits a life of wealth and priviledge in order to become a selfless defender of Gotham City against all the many faces of crime and evil. Aslan brings freedom to Narnia through the sacrifice of his own life beneath the knife of the White Witch. Jesus sets his face like flint and journeys up to Jerusalem knowing full well that he can only buy the freedom of the human race through undergoing the most gruesome of deaths. Nearly every one of the men trained, discipled, and loved by Jesus give up everything they have to continue their Master's mission, willingly going to their own deaths in the process.
These are our heroes. The people whose lives seem to have really mattered. The ones who lived life to the full, then gave that life up for a cause bigger than themselves.
Would you stand beside them on that day? Will you, like King Theoden in the Lord of the Rings, be able to say "I now go to my fathers, in whose great company I shall no longer be ashamed"??
Welcome to The Warrior's Path, where "many are called, but few are chosen." D.L. Moody was once inspired by a preacher in England who said "The world has yet to see what God can do with one man who is fully surrendered to Him". If that is the challenge that you long to answer, then you have come to the right place. We hear you. We understand you. We don't think you're weird - a religious nut, a self-righteous prig, or a super saint. We think you know what it's going to take to make your life count...and we're behind you all the way.
So, you want to be a hero? The Warrior's Path exists as an invitation to you to 'go for it'. John Eldredge writes that "The Warrior heart in a man (or woman) is wounded when he has no one to train him, no king to give his allegiance to, and no cause to fight for." We exist to make sure that none of those things steal your heart for the life you know that you were meant for.
Join us. Join the Fellowship of The Warrior's Path. Do it for yourself. Do it for all those that will need you. Do it for the King.
